The listing below is a feed of comics events featured on, or that I've added to Yahoo's "Upcoming" service. You can't add your own events to this, but you could add them to Upcoming and then let me know. This list features on downthetubes and can be used as a 'widget' on other web sites and blogs.

Special Announcement: Moon Landing Art Appeal

Next month is the 40th Anniversary of the first Moon landing (20th July 1969). I'm hoping folk here on the downthetubes forum will help mark it by uploading art inspired by the moon landings and space exploration which can then be added to this album - http://downthetubes.ning.com/photo/albums/moon-landing-40th-anniversary - which I will then embed on the main downthetubes site to mark the anniversary (and, indeed, can be embedded on any web site).

Any art - illustration, strip, cartoons - welcome!

Egmont Classics Battle special 4 Replies

I liked this a lot - mind you, I'm so pleased to see a new Battle publication on the shelves after 20 odd years, I'm hardly going to be critical! Loved the cover (it's strange seeing how pale the o...

About Blog Posts

The section below is an amalgam of the latest group blog posts by individual members. I'd suggest that rather than using it as a blog, think about using it as a "PR" spot for your projects - several members already do this.
This area only displays blog posts actually posted within the forum -- it can't display posts from any RSS feeds you may have added to your own page from your own blog or LiveJournal page, say.

About the downthetubes blog (and the other RSS Feeds below)

The section below is a collection of RSS feeds from sites actively promoting British comics within their news pages. The downthetubes news blog is first, but the Forbidden Planet International blog is also a good news source and both Lew Stringer and Steve Holland are regular champions of British comics. There's a limit to the number of RSS feeds I can run on this page, otherwise I would be including Bugpowder, for example. Sorry, Bugpowder!
