I really am glad this is going to help a lot of you guys.
More guys are testing the water and obtaining quotations from us.
The only constant in this life, for me, is change and folks in the main don't like change.
The Comics Industry is a frail fraternity at best and if what I am presently doing can alter that somewhat and make a section of the industry survive and indeed thrive, then I am a happy man.
There a number of folks awaiting quotes, which I will get for them on Monday and hopefully more folks will come on board to look into this at least, like your good self, Al Davision, John Ridgway, Andrew Wildman, Lew Stringer, Shane "the man Chebsey, amongst others.
The main thing I have noticed is the feeling of incredulity of folks that there can be a viable alternative to Digital Printing, which while still the route for those who want a dozen or so, is not the case, as I am proving for books of 250 or so.
Al Davison for example, with his book, kept inside of his budget of £200.00 and doubled his print run using my guys as against his quotes for Digital print and on the strength of what he received now has a quote for his next graphic novel.
As you have seen yesterday the prices are absolutely amazing.
What we all need to remember is, like we discussed last evening, if more folks pool their skills, knowledge, and information of this kind together then we really can thrive as a community.
Anyhow gotta get back to the drawing board.
Best Wishes and thanks for the kind words and support.
Tim...
Tim, this is brilliant! Saw your posts on QualityComms. Mind if I do a news story about this on downthetubes or are you getting swamped with enquiries already?
We are being inundated, but we are looking at new kit to cope, etc.
I have been saying for years now that folks were getting it wrong with the printing, but like I said in an earlier post, the way I see it is, the only constant in life is change and more often than not, folks don't like change.
Hopefully this is going to change things and in a big way, for the comics industry.
I truly hope sure anyhow.
I may need an admin assistant to sort this alone if it grows more...
If you need any more information, please just drop me a line with what you need to know.
If it's easier please feel free to give me a call on the land line, or the mobile.
Please just make sure you stress the importance of having folks fill in the table for each and every quote, as it keeps it simple here at this end to sort through. It standardises the ability to sort out quick quotations.
