I didn't bother watching V for Vendetta and I should have avoided Watchmen too. It doesn't work as an adaptation and it doesn't stand on it own, think I might have liked about ten minutes worth of it. My main problem would be the direction, Zach S...

After what seems like a while I contributed some more work to Huzzah. I'm still sticking with un-inked artwork, and I'm still in thinking I need to work harder at it, but deadline pressure has robbed me of objectivity on this page. I was really p...

It's Covered.

So, Covered is a blog where people redraw comic covers, I like that idea, so I've nicked it. Still working out the inkless drawing style, but mainly I just decided to bang this one out for the hell of it, it's so nice to draw and not worry about composition, perspective all that proper stuff, because someone else has done the work for you, and just push a pencil round like you did when you were a kid copying favourite pictures. I'd like to (re)draw… Continue

"Doing a 'Dez Skinn'" :)
Dunno about another Phibes, but I am gonna do a pic of Vincent Price soonish, to go with the one I did of Peter Cushing, and the nearly finished one of Christopher Lee. Who to draw after that?

Ha. Nah, permission was granted. Keep telling folk Phibes is no zombie, nobody cares about Phibes feelings.

Cheers Shane much appreciated. Death Race 2000 t-shirt? Not a bad idea that. John (Freeman) tried to get a t-shirt of Phibes, don't know if it happened.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the interest! Yeah, sure you can buy a copy of the comic directly from me. It's £2.50 (inc. P&P) for 80-pages of British comic godness. Feel free to contact me directly at: mattyeo@mac.com

Cheers!

Cheers Paul - the only reason I did the strip was to get to do Dredd (and flying Lawmasters). Never liked the character of Razors much - he was even worse in this strip! I think it's the only strip I ever did for 2000AD that ever got reprinted (apart from some Godawful Quality stuff in America).

You're welcome John, and thank you. Yes, A Boy and His Dog was a great adaptation, and they did keep the title.

Thanks Paul. I really liked your picture of Zardoz, a great seventies B movie. Another interesting B was a movie based on Harlan Ellison's A Boy and His Dog altho I can't remember if that was the title !

That Nightmare on Elm Street illustration is wonderful. I've never seen any of the films!
