A few scans needed

I'm having trouble finding images from Frank Humphries Blackbow the Cheyenne, Jose Ortiz UFO Agents and Luis Bermejo's Heros the Spartan pages from Eagle circa 63-66. If anyone can help with clear scans from any of those pages, and it needn't be huge, even a few panels or half-pages would suffice for blog purposes, please email me at ponche/at/shaw/dot/ca Thanks much !

Canadian Links

This will be a continuing feature showing links to various blogs, publishers, and newslinks about Canadian comic sand their creators. My own interests are historical and I have researched comics from the Victorian age to obscure Canadian comic strips. First *blush* I have the link to my own blog Yesterday's Papers (previously Oliver Oyl) on which I have been running a numbber of postsContinue

Ah! I think I see what you mean: for some reason the RSS feed isn't working on downthetubes. Go to Feedburner (www.feedburner.com) and set yourself up with one of their feeds so people can grab that for their RSS readers. Weird that your RSS isn't working, you're on blogger, right? I tried entering your URL but the Ning interface didn't like it for some reason.

Hi John, Yesterday's papers is great - I need to link to it more on downthetubes. I think you've identified a niche and should stick with it. Might be worth adding links to more sites with archives of strips, perhaps, or articles on them? Links to other web sites, especially on a blog run by Google, definitely seem to push the blog/site up the search results.
have a look at Bear Alley, Steve Holland's blog, which is in a similar vein, and see if what he covers suggests ideas for content.
Maybe launch an appeal for scans?

Thanks, Thomas. Pity there are few places here that sell British comics. Luckily in these days mail from the UK is quite convenient. Pre-internet it sometimes took 9 months to get an answer !

Yup SFU in BC is all that stops me from topping Google searches on my name. Darn them all to hell!

If I ever decide to quit the glamour and the big bucks of the world of comics then I'd definetely retrain there.
