hey dave,

thanks for the comment. I use Photoshop mostly, unless I'm trying something weird.

Sorry Dave - I haven't been ignoring you, I've been out of the country on a last minute deal of a holiday! Internet will be fine (save on postage). Email me at daveycandlish@tiscali.co.uk. And if you have an advert designed for your latest strips or work and want that included in the next issue, include that too and I'll make sure I find space for it. If you haven't I'll make sure I plug it somewhere

Cheers!

Yes, Violent! prevails. Up to issue twelve now, with a change in management (sort of. Mike Sivier still has some say in things, but has stepped back from the actual production side of the mag, and now mostly contributes by writing Hard-Boiled Hitler for us.

Paragon was something I started when I discovered the small press scene a couple of years ago and thought 'I could do that'. Issue one was a Hammer film special with a short history of the company's early years and an adaption of the 70's film SCARS of DRACULA (that's where my Christopher Lee pic comes from). Issue 2 has a time travelling demon fighting samurai in it - which has potential and will hopefully become a regular strip - both Jason Cobley and Jay Eales expressed an interest in writing an episode. A4 28 pages and available from Smallzone and Travelling Man in Newcastle. To see more of my strips check out www.comicspace.com/paragoncomic or visit the superherostore website and look for THE VANQUISHERS strip which I drew for Chris Smillie's STARSCAPE comic - Men in tights beating the crap out of each other! What more can you ask for?
And if you want an ad for your latest publication or cartoons in the next issue, that's fine by me.

Issue 2 of Technofear's still in development. Tony, as always, is working on about 5 zillion projects at once. The most recent of which is our anthology title 100% Biodegradable which has just launched today (or perhaps tomorrow - I forget) at http://www.ikcomics.com

The Teksas Chainstore Massacre will be getting another reprint in Issue 2 of Biodegradable as it's a halloween special. Since IK is a web based comics distributor and I still have the rights to publish in print based comics (not any other digital medium for the next 2 years though) I might be tempted to let you have the strip for Paragon. Could you tell me a bit more about your comic as I haven't heard its name before (then again, I have been away from comics awhile).

PS. A free copy's always a bonus! And a small plug inside the comic for the 100% Biodegradable anthology and my Rokcomics cartoons would be the perfect sweetener...

Yup. That was me! How's issue 2 going? Anywhere near finished yet?
I read your comments on the small press forum here with interest. How would you feel about having Teksas Chainsaw Massacre in print again? I'm looking for contributions to issue 3 of my self published PARAGON comic and it would fit in quite nicely. Can't promise fame and fortune, but can promise a free copy when it's published!
