downthetubes Events Calendar
I've now set the downthetubes events calendar on the blog and web site so people can add events. (This isn't the same calendar that features on the downthetubes Ning forum)
- Go to the downthetubesblog: http://downthetubescomics.blogspot.com
- The events calendar is on the right hand side. Grab the events box 'scroll bar' and navigate to the bottom of this, where you can see an "Add Event" button. (You can also find this here, www.localendar.com/public/downthetubes, where it's perhaps easier to see what events have already been posted).
- Add your comic release/ event/signing/book launch information and submit. Simplez!
All events are moderated, so no 'false' data should ever get added to the calendar. I will approve events as quickly as possible.
Some caveats:
- There IS a 2000-character limit to entries, so don't make your event details overlong.
- Make sure you include a contact e-mail or telephone number in the event description if applicable. That way, if I have a query about an event I can check with the poster.
- You can add some HTML (not Myebook code, unfortunately but you can cut and paste, say, a book cover from another location) to link to web sites etc. and drive traffic to your site
- If you need to add to an event, send me the details and I'll amend, there's no facility to edit a posted event by users.
