Hi David,
Sad times but you and the team should be acknowledged for creating the most significant children's comics publication since who knows when. In spite of its relatively short run (although 43 issues of anything is amazing these days) it will be held up as an example of what is possible. Circumstances stacked up against it and cut it shorter than we would all have hoped for but it exists in the world and is a publication by which subsequent comics will be measured. Its existence and passing has created a space for amazing new possibilities. You stood up and demonstrated what can be achieved and I think that that is how it will be remembered. All those amazing characters are now 'real' in the world rather than just 'good ideas'. Thats the difference between those that wish for something and those that have the courage to see it through.
We owe you one ;-)
Cheers

Hi David, this is very disappointing news. I've been subscribing to The DFC since it launched and enjoyed seeing a fresh and original traditional weekly comic again. The best of luck finding a buyer and thanks for providing a regular Friday boost!
Welcome aboard, David! If folk are interested in reading an interview with David we conducted after the launch of The DFC, please click here. I'm sure I join everyone here by saying we look forward to hearing more about DFC projects and hope the title is doing well despite the credit crunch. The DFC Previews site is a terrific idea, the interface to read the comics works really well, one of the best online comics readers I've seen.
Hi David. Welcome to 'The Tube' and thanks for responding to my invite. Seems like Jhn has set up a great thing here is terms of galvanising support and interest in British Comics. It would have been all sorts of wrong not to have you in hear. I look forward to your posts and blogs :-)
